The reason is because it is not easy to motivate students, especially young students to learn English.

1. it needs to be clear 

According to language acquisition, the language should be as simple and natural as possible.

2. it needs to be interesting 

We can use some games to teach English, so it could be more interesting. 

3. it needs to be simple

Also the vocabulary needs to be simple and familiar so they can focus on the lesson they are learning.
